5 Star Garage Door Service trains Rexland Acres, CA technicians on this exact service line so you're not the one teaching them on the job.
This specialization is why Rexland Acres, CA customers call us back for the same issue instead of shopping around each time.
We check both cables and both drums together, since wear rarely happens in isolation.
Galvanized aircraft cable resists fraying far longer than standard cable in humid Rexland Acres, CA conditions.
Every job includes a post-repair tension and balance check.
A visibly fraying cable is treated as a near-term emergency.
Even a few loose strands mean a cable is close to failing under load — replacement cable gets sized to match your spring tension exactly.
A cable that's already snapped usually means the door dropped or hangs crooked — we never operate a door on a snapped cable.
A cable that's slipped off its drum causes uneven hanging — we re-seat it and correct the underlying cause.
Extension spring systems should run safety cables to prevent whip-back — we add these where missing.
The bracket anchoring the cable to the door corrodes over time — this is a less obvious but equally important part of the system.
